Let's Do the Harlem Shake!

So, what is the Harlem Shake anyways?

At the beginning of the video, only one person (often masked) is dancing. Anyone else in the room/area are either still or simply not paying attention to the masked dancer.  When the bass drops, everyone else joins in on the dancing, usually accompanied by costumes and/or props.

The "craze" is a trend that is increasingly showing up on the internet and TV shows everywhere.  People all across the world are making way to doing their own version of the "Harlem Shake".  Therefore, we decided since the Okerlund crew were going to be together to celebrate the spring birthdays, that this would be a great time for us to do our own rendition of the "Harlem Shake".

Everyone, yes including all the adults, participated in the hilarious video.  Trevor was the person in the beginning dancing while the rest of the family read books, played games, visited, etc.  Soon after the Trevor's part was over, we all ran and got dressed up to play our part.  We ended up making several videos because we were having so much fun.

After a few videos, the adults decided to sit back and watch as each of the younger kids do their own version of the Harlem Shake.  Each video that they did, they let someone be the main person and then when their turn in the spotlight was over, they would run and dress up in different costumes.  You would have thought it was Halloween, for all the garbs that was put together for this funny videos.

It makes you laugh every time you look back and watch the videos now.  If you just focus on one or two people each time, it is even funnier because the performance that was done when in costume.  Needless to say this was absolutely hilarious.  Thanks to the Okerlund's for this fun memory!
