The day that we all have looked forward too for months was finally here!
Justin Bieber . . . here we come!
JUSTIN BIEBER
BELIEVE TOUR 2013
MGM GRAND, LAS VEGAS
Our trip began at 8:15 am where we met at Justin and Tammy's house to load up. McKenna, Morgan, Brynn, and Alyssa all rode with Tammy in her car, which left me, Ally, Laynee, and Kambree to ride with Mary in her car.
We made to St. George in good time, so we decided to stop at the mall and do a little shopping. Afterwards, we went and ate a nice lunch at Pizza Factory and after that we were Vegas bound. Before we knew it, we were in Las Vegas. Our first stop was to go directly to the South Pointe Hotel, where we were staying. Somehow, Tammy's car (car #1) made it there without a problem, where Mary and I (car #2) got a little lost (thanks to the directions off of Mary's phone!) After a while, Morgan sent out a text to remind us that car #1 was there patiently waiting for car #2. After backtracking and a quick phone call to Jeremy, we got turned in the right direction.
Mary and her jumper cables! Some might wonder why Mary would need jumper cables in Vegas, however, they serve as a multipurpose tool and they worked to blow up Mary's air mattress! (So she says!)
We had elite service at the South Pointe. Part of our stay included valet parking and bell boy service. Tammy has been completely banned from using valet parking, due to the loss of her ticket two times, which resulted in valet not finding her car. This is the bell boy that kept checking out Brynn, couldn't help but capture the Kodak moment!
After we checked in and freshened up, we were all ready to get to the concert. Look at all these cute girls, all ready for the night they have been waiting so long for.
Our initial plan was to hit the shopping mall on the way to see if we could find the girls matching shirts. However, when we left the parking lot at South Pointe, there wasn't much of a game plan made to how we were going to get there and so car #1 and car #2 got split up and headed in different directions. At this point, Ally was stressed that we weren't going to make it to the concert, worried we would not be able to find how to get there! Needless to say, we ended up agreeing on meeting at the parking garage at the MGM and bag shopping, due to the fact we were running out of time!
It was finally time for the concert and we were all anxiously waiting for it to start. Our seats were the second row from the very back. Once the opening act started, Mike Posner, McKenna, Morgan, and Brynn decided to seat hop to somewhere down in the lower bowl of the stadium. They text us pictures and the view was tons better from down there, of course. So during the second opening act, Hot Chelle Rae, the rest of us decided to join them. Luckily, we stayed in these seats for the rest of the night. I could not believe that the actual ticket holders to those seats never showed up and we were the fortunate ones to reap the benefits.
The opening acts for Justin Bieber were okay, each of them performed for about 30 minutes. And between the two acts, there was a lot of waiting time. It was about 9:30 pm and still no Justin Bieber. It felt like we were waiting forever, wondering if he was every going to go on stage. It was funny when we heard certain sections of the crowd just screaming, so we thought they might have seen a glimpse of Justin. All of a sudden the screaming got closer to our section and then McKenna, Morgan, and Brynn disappeared. A Justin Bieber look a like was walking through the seating area, so the girls ran screaming and crying, thinking they were going to actually see and touch Justin Bieber. A few minutes later, the three of them came back pretty disappointed and sad when they realized he wasn't the real thing!
About 9:45, Justin Bieber finally came out on stage. The music was loud, the lights were bright, the video on stage was awesome, and Justin made his presence on stage with wings on. It was amazing. The three older girls had tears in their eyes they were so excited, Kambree, Laynee, and Ally were all screaming, and Alyssa, the little trooper, slept through the majority of Justin's performance.
This concert was unBELIEVEable.
The first song he sang was Believe, which is also his tour name. Then he sang all the songs off his Believe CD like, As Long As You Love Me, Fall, Be Alright, Boyfriend, All Around The World, Beauty And A Beat, Thought of You, and more. He also sang songs off his other CDs, but the girls favorite one was Baby, because he took off his shirt!
The girls told us some things Justin did that made them melt.... like he grabbed the stage camera gave a full body shot and showed his face, serenaded the entire arena, took of his shirt, his dance moves, his voice, how he took off his hat and ran his hands through his hair, and just his simple little looks he gave. But the girls did say that the SADDEST part of the concert was when he left.
This definitely was the best concert I have ever been too! Just watching these girls get so excited to see him and to listen to them sing right along every word was priceless. Of course, I couldn't help but sing along too, its not like I haven't heard every Justin Bieber song ever written, they have been permanently engrained in my mind since March!
The concert ended at 11:00 pm. After waiting through the long lines trying to get out of the MGM, we finally made it outside to the parking lot. We loaded up and thought that we would get off the strip and go grab a bite to eat and then afterwards, we thought we would take the girls down town to see some of the cool things on the strip. After waiting in the car for 45 minutes trying to get out of the parking lot, we decided to park the cars and go back into the MGM to get a bite to eat. We could see that the rate the traffic was moving, we would be stuck there forever and at that point, everyone was starving. So still going strong, here we are at 1:15 am headed to get a bite to eat!
Finally, on our way out of the MGM at 2:45 am, we were able to get a group shot in front of the Justin Bieber poster. What a great way to finish up such a memorable night! Can you believe we are all still up and going that early in the morning?
Saturday morning we were up and swimming at the hotel's pool at 9:30. The girls loved their pool, plus spending some time in the morning sun. When we were ready and the cars were packed, we went and ate lunch and shopped at the mall. From there we drove to St. George to do some more shopping. The night was complete when we finished up with a dinner at Costa Vida.
This was such a fun, memorable weekend. Big shout out to Tammy for planning this awesome trip. Next girls trip, we have already decided that we need to do it for two nights instead of one and it must involve lots of shopping and just hanging out! We loved hanging out with all of these girls!
