Valentine's Day Celebrations

We * LOVE * LOVE * LOVE * the week of Valentines at our house.  This week has been a fun-filled with a bit of craziness on the side getting ready for this holiday.  It starts out early in the week and the kids make their final decision on what they want for their class Valentines as well as their Valentine's Day box.  I have to say, making their Valentine's Day boxes is one of my all time favorite thing to do, so to spend an evening putting a box together is pure enjoyment for me!

**  Tyra Lottie's Preschool Celebration  **
Lottie's Preschool Valentines party was on Thursday, so I was up late the night before putting her name on the cards.  Little Tyra Lottie is such a funny little thing, when it came to getting her Valentine's  day cards ready, her pencils were long gone.  The night before I had set out both girl's set of class pencils out on the counter, Tyra was so worried that someone would take and use them, that she hid them.   So when it was time to tie them up, I could not find them.  So I decided to get up on Thursday morning and have her get them for me, well, she couldn't remember where she had hid them at.  I convinced Ally that Tyra was going to have to use her pencils and then I would have to go to the store to buy new ones for Ally's classroom treats.  Luckily, Ally was okay with that so I finished putting Tyra's classroom prize together with Ally's pencils.

We had put together a cute Tic-Tac-Toe game card and a message that said "Your Just 'Write' Valentine' and tied them to the pencil for each of the little girls.  Both of them were pretty excited about their prize for their classmates.

Tyra Lottie's preschool class, luckily did not need boxes this year.  They each were able to color an owl on an envelope to bring their Valentine's home in.  Lottie  had some cute cards that she brought home and it wasn't long before she had ate all her treats!

**  Trey's Valentine's Day Celebration**

Trey's Valentines Day class party was on Friday the 13th.  He started early in the week getting the names put on all his treats that he was taking to school.  He was excited to take his Fun Dips, that way any extra he could leave home to eat later.

For Trey's Valentine Day box this year, he could not decide between a guitar and a vending machine.  After checking out a few ideas online, he decided that a vending machine it would be.  He kept telling me it would be easy, as he draws up his plans on a piece of paper!  Like Jeremy said, easy for who?  Needless to say, it did end up being a lot easier than I had expected and besides that it turned out so cute.  Trey was pumped and could hardly wait to take it school to show it off!  We even put real quarter in money slot so it looked more life like!

**  Ally's Valentine's Day Celebration  **

Allyson's class party was also on Friday, so earlier in the week, she spent the time to write her name on her Valentine Day card.  We used the same idea that Lottie used for her preschool class, so Allyson was excited to get them all ready to share at her class party.

Ally knew from the beginning of time that she wanted a castle for her Valentine box.  And of course, it couldn't be just any castle, it had to be a Frozen castle.  She was sick on Tuesday of this week, so we spent the day looking at the different designs online and then we came up with our own idea for her Frozen Castle.  She had fun deciding on the designs and the color scheme to use.  I was able to pull out my scrapbook stuff, so she helped by putting together flowers that look like Frozen flowers.  It took both of us, working together, to make this darling castle.  Ally was so excited to show it to all her friends, and I do have to admit, it turned out pretty cute.

**  McKenna's Valentine's Day Celebration  **

McKenna's day at school was to her, just another day of school.  The middle school held their Valentine Day school dance on Thursday night this year, but because McKenna was dancing at half time, she was unable to make it.  She did have fun though this week helping with the eighth grade fundraiser.  Because she is an 8th Grade Class Officer, the presidency decided to do a fundraiser and raise money by selling small Valenitine Day gift ideas.  She had such a good time getting together with the other class officers and putting all of these gift ideas together.

**  Finally, the real deal for our kiddo's. **

Our little Valentine's came late on Saturday night.  The kids were excited and surprised to find their treasures at the front door when the door bell rang.

I had bought each of the kids their own unique gift and then I ended up supporting McKenna's 8th Grade fundraiser and purchased four of their fun Valentine gift pack.  The kids were pretty excited for each of their own surprises!

Jeremy and I are so lucky and blessed to have these four in  our lives.  We love them more than words can say!  We love you each to the moon and back!
