Christmas Eve

We love parties, in fact, we love parties so much that this is our third party in four days.  But there isn't a better way to celebrate the holidays than to share it with friends and family.  Tonight's Christmas Eve party was held at our house and JoAnn was kind enough to provide the food.  It is always so fun to have Tyler, Brooke and family, Kim and Darlene, Marci and Lyman, Grandma Loraine, Darcy, Dillon and Shyanne, Rod and JoAnn, and Jeremy and I's family.  Lot of people, make of a lot of fun.  It was a bonus this year for us too, because Eric and Jennalee got done in Richfield in time to join us for part of the evening.

And a party wouldn't be a party if we weren't able to experience some sort of wrestling match on the front room floor.  What started out with Krew and Trey messing around, led to getting Grandpa Rod involved!  Lots and lots of laughs!

After the big shin dig at our house, all of the little kids wanted to head to Grandpa and Grandma's house to unwrap their Christmas Eve presents.  This is a long time tradition that the kids look forward too, so its good Grandma JoAnn is there to take care of all of us!

The kids had so much fun trying to get a glimpse of Santa as he flew in the air.  Little glimpse's here and there just made the anticipation of Santa that much more magical.

What a cute group of kids, all sporting their new pj's for Christmas.

After the unwrapping at Grandpa and Grandma's, we came back home to get all nestled in.  The kids were anxious for Christmas morning, so it didn't take much convincing to get them all ready for
bed.  As always, we have to make sure everything is ready for Santa to come before we are able to lay down and try and get some sleep.

The stockings were hung over the chimney with care, in hope that St. Nick will soon be here.  The cookies, carrots, and milk were all set out for Santa, thanks to Ally and Lottie.  The kids were so excited and would hardly wait for Christmas to finally be here.

Every Christmas since we have been in our house, we have made the kids share a room on Christmas Eve.  It's been easier to have them sleep in Lottie's room so we don't have them snooping down to see the front room before Jeremy and I are awake.  This works out good because they are able to wake up and come get us up when its morning.  Sure hope they get to sleep tonight, there is a lot of excitement in this little room!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
