Ally lost her first tooth today. I can hardly believe she is old enough to start loosing her teeth. She had mentioned a time or two that she had a loose tooth, but I had no idea that it was really loose enough to fall out this soon.
I was in the little girls' room playing with Lottie when Ally came in with her mouth bleeding and excited that her first tooth had finally fallen out. I asked her where her tooth was at and that is when the tears started to roll because she didn't know where it was at. She knew she was in the pantry, but she said she looked and it wasn't there. Everyone searched and searched the pantry over thinking that one of us would spot it there, but it wasn't too be found. It is my guess that she probably swallowed it and didn't even know it happened. Come to find out, she was more upset that the tooth fairy wouldn't come leave her money since her tooth wasn't under her pillow than she was for the fact that she might had swallowed it. So we wrote a note to the tooth fairy so she would know to leave money even though there wasn't a tooth to be found. She had me explain to the tooth fairy that she had lost her first tooth, but it is a mystery to where it ended up at, and then she signed the letter. She put the letter under her pillow for hopes the tooth fairy would find it there.
Well, with much excitement, the tooth fairy found her note and left her some money! She was so excited to see that $1 bill rolled up with a bow under her pillow. And much to her surprise, the note that we had wrote was still there too! How did the tooth fairy do all that? Well, thanks to the magic of those cute little fairies, we had one happy toothless little girl.
Ally thinks it is so fun to smile and show off her new opening to where her tooth fell out! In fact, she couldn't wait to go to school to show her teachers and friends.
