Every year, on the last Saturday in June, the City of Wales holds Welsh Days. I hate to admit it, but I have never heard of Welsh Days before, let alone ever been to Wales, so I wasn't sure what we were in for today. And now that we have experienced it, I have to admit, it ended up being pretty fun morning for us to spend together in Wales.
Since McKenna is an attendant in the Miss Sanpete County's Outstanding Teen, the royalty has to participate in events like this one throughout the county. So to Wales we went to participate in their hometown parade. Lauren the queen was unable to attend, to Lindzey and McKenna rode the float. They had a lot of fun and both looked so cute.
Allyson and Lottie liked the parade, especially because the floats threw a lot of candy. Lottie didn't like the heat, so she stood back only picked up a few pieces of candy, where Allyson did most the gathering. I can't believe the amount of candy these two got, it was a huge bowl full.
These two girls crack me up. Every float prior to theirs were throwing candy, so as they approached, I asked them, "Where is your candy?" They replied, "We are the candy, eye candy that is!!!" Too funny! They even laughed at themselves!

One of the events at Welsh Days is the Strong Man Contest. This event was pretty entertaining to watch. There were seven guys that participated to see who was the strongest man of them all. We thought it would be fun to catch a quick picture with two of the seven guys there before the event started. The girls really liked the one guys mohawk, so they for sure wanted him in the picture. Cute picture, but definitely not someone you would want for them to bring home to date!
I love my girls! What a fun, memorable day we had together!
