- Day 3 ~ DISNEYLAND -
Yes, the day has finally arrived, the day that we have been looking forward to for months. I woke up at 5:30 am so excited that I couldn't go back to sleep and then at 6:00, McKenna woke up and couldn't go back to sleep either. Must be in our blood, I get like that for Christmas too! We laid in bed for what felt like forever, before we decided to get up and get ready. We decided to meet everyone else at 8:00 so we could get in line and take advantage of the one hour early entrance that we have that came with our tickets. Normal entrance is 10:00 am, so this allowed us to be in the park at 9:00.
As soon as we got into Main Street, Disneyland, there were all sorts of characters mingling around to get pictures with. We were lucky enough to get a picture with Dale. The kids just ran right over so we could get a quick picture of them altogether. We did see Pinocchio and Chip, but they were drawing such a crowd, it wasn't worth the wait. We decided to beat the crowd and head right over to Tommorrowland. The first ride that we rode was Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. This was fun and everyone liked it. After that, a few headed over and rode the Matterhorn Bobsleds, and then the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. These rides worked out great because normally their lines are usually very long.
After a few of the rides, all the girls went and waited in line to meet the princesses. We were in line while they did a princess change, so we were fortunate enough to be able to meet and greet Princess Tiana and Ariel, Belle was supposed to be there, but she got help up doing something so there were only the two that we were able to see. The girls were so excited to get their autograph books signed and to have their pictures taken with them. Maddie and Ally were so excited to Ariel, thinking she was the real thing. She is definitely one of their favorite. Ariel was so cute with them and it was so fun to watch the girls gaze up at her and give her a up big hug. Even little Lottie liked Ariel. Ariel kept referring to Lottie as a little guppy and gave her a big hug before we walked away.
We ended up spending the rest of the day in the Adventureland part of the park. Here we were able to ride Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones. Because there are only so many rides that the little girls can go, we took turns taking them on the Winnie the Pooh ride. Later in the evening, Eric and I took the three little girls on the ride and they decided they wanted to go again, so thankfully the workers just let us stay in our Beehive cart and ride it through again. It is a cute ride, but it makes it worth it just watching the looks of those little girls faces!
We stayed to closing, topping the night off by watching Mickey's Soundsational Parade. This was an awesome parade that gave the kids a chance to see a lot of their favorite characters. Fun dancers, loud music, and bubbles everywhere, to be loved by all. I enjoyed watching Lottie as she watched the parade from the top of Jeremy's shoulders, she was in total awe. What a fun way to finish a great day.
By the end of the day, we had ate soup bowls, several churros at $3.75 each, cotton candy at $4.00 and diet cokes for $2.99. We were able to meet Woody, Dale, Princess Ariel and Princess Tiana. Also today, we rode the following rides: Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Alice in Wonderland, Disneyland Monorail, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure, Mark Twain Riverboat, and Tarzan's Treehouse.
By the time we got back to our room, everyone was hungry. We decided to go to the restaurant right next to the hotel to eat. Needless to say once we got back to our room, everyone was completely wore out. We got ready for bed because we knew tomorrow would be another big day!
