~ Easter Baskets ~

So this year the Easter Bunny played a small trick on the kids, his little mischievous ways led the kids on a Scavenger Hunt to look for their baskets, rather than leaving them on the fireplace.  So instead of baskets, they found a note that read,

"Happy Easter to you all,
This will be the most memorable of all!

This year will be different than in the past,
Clues to be found will make you think fast.

Be sure to note that there isn't a lot of time,
So be sure to listen to this short little rhyme.

Your baskets are hid, one by one,
Clues will lead you there to make it more fun!

Muddy feet, such as mine, walk through this room all the time!
Here you will find Clue #2, go there now . . . you know what to do!"

So off the four of them went to the shoe room and laundry room.  After a few minutes of searching, Trey spotted their next clue hid under the counter in the laundry room.

Trey read the next clue that said,

"On now to Clue #3, so you know it's stuck to a 'T',
Upstairs you will need to go, careful not to stub your toe!"

They all ran upstairs, and while the others were wandering around, McKenna caught on real fast and headed to Trey's room.  Back behind the wood letters that read "TREY", McKenna found their next clue taped to the 'T'!

From there, the next clue read,

"Oh how lucky for Clue #4, the next clue is almost a chore!
This room is pretty and pink, I think it's hid by the kitchen sink!"

Off they all ran to Ally and Tyra's room.  Allyson knew right off where she would find their next clue.  Taped to her play kitchen, she quickly pulled off the tape and read on for clue #5.

"Wow, can you believe your one Clue #5, be careful in the next room when you arrive,
It has been said there is monkeys all around, so be sure not to make a sound!

McKenna then read Clue #6, which said,

"You're almost done, so on to Clue #6, here is where you watch the latest flix,
only to find one funny movie, some say it is kinda groovy!"

Instantly the kids ran downstairs to see what would be awaiting them in the video cupboard.  Allyson was the first one to spot the video "Wreck It Ralph".  They did it, they found their prize, but where were their baskets.  Much to their surprise, they found one more clue,

"Good job on finding all your clues,
so listen carefully so you know what to do.

Your church will soon start and I don't want you late,
so go get ready to learn of this very important date.

For when you return, one more to clue to discover,
Baskets with surprises for all to uncover."

So with church starting in less than 15 minutes, the kids quickly ran and finished getting ready for church.

Wow, what a smart bunny, how did he know the kids would be so smart in finding each of his clues.  This worked out great because this way the kids were excited to go and get back from church to see what surprise he left for them when they returned back from church.

So, three hours later, when we walked in the back door from church, the kids found the Easter Bunny's last clue taped to the back of the laundry room door.  Their final clue read,

"You make it through and already to go!  Baskets, treats, surprises, you say it ain't so!
Hop upstairs and be very neat, go to the room that makes all the heat!

So off the four of them ran upstairs to the storage room and much to their surprise, there they found their Easter Baskets in the furance room.

Here are the kids showing off their Easter Basket treats and surprising, while sporting their new outfits that the bunny left for their them!
