~ Easter Egg-citement ~

After the kids found their Easter Baskets, we walked up to Grandpa and Grandma's house for a nice Easter lunch.  We all enjoyed a delicious meal and then let afterward, we let the kids search for Easter Eggs.

Aunt Jenna and I decided that we should let Ally, Tyra, and Maddie go first since they were the little ones.  Ally and Tyra picked up as quick as they could and Maddie just enjoyed taking it one at a time.  Trey and McKenna were able to run and grab the higher up eggs before the little girls got them.  From the pictures, you can see that Ally made a haul with the eggs this year.  Trey felt a little jipped on the deal, but after a little convincing and putting a few extra eggs out for him, he was better about his findings!

Ally and Maddie, look how cute these two girls are together.  They definitely are best friends.  It is so fun to have Maddie around, her and Ally just play in their own little world.  Today, they ate Popsicle after a Popsicle while playing in the playhouse down by the arena.

After we ate a nice lunch, found the candy Easter eggs, ate endless amounts of Popsicles, and fun times just hanging out, we decided to go and see Grandpa and Grandma O in Salina.  It was fun to hang out and visit with them.  As soon as we got there, the kids spotted Grandpa O riding his bike, for some reason they all thought that was pretty funny.  Afterwards, the kids ran and played out back while I sat down and told them about our day.

Much to our surprise when we got home, the Easter Bunny had hid the kids decorated eggs out back.  Trey had been quite concerned all day where those eggs had gone too.  First thing this morning, Ally and Trey noticed that they had been taken out of the fridge, yet the eggs were no where to be found.  Luckily, someone spotted the empty cartons on the back porch, so they all began to search for their Easter Eggs.  Talk about Easter Egg-citement, they had fun scavenging through the back yard to find a dozen eggs each!

What a fun way to end the day!  Happy Easter!
