Sunflower Surprise

 Trey was given two sunflower pods by Blake Donaldson this afternoon.  We were all pretty amazed at the amount of seeds that it takes to make up this huge sunflower.  You would think that with that many seeds in one sunflower, that they would just simply fall out or knocked out with a little pressure.  It definitely took some hard scrubbing to get the seeds out.

 

 

 Between the two pods, they gathered a half of an ice cream bucket full of seeds.  Now comes time for mom to google what to do to make them edible.
