"My Home's in the West"
Ally has been so excited and looking forward to her big performance in the kindergarten play. She brought home her lines to memorize several weeks ago, so we have been reciting her lines as 'Cowboy Bob'. Besides the practice at home, the kindergarten class has worked on the play consistently for the past several days. She not only knew her lines by the bottom of her heart, but we keep hearing versus here and there from their class songs. One thing that she has been a little nervous about for her play tonight was her black eye and I would have to say that we did a pretty good job getting her all covered up!
Since the theme of the play was western, each student in Ally's kindergarten class each played different parts in each section of the play. The first section of the play was when the Rhyming Cowboys talked cowboy talk to discuss the 'Wild West' Ally (aka Cowboy Bob) and her classmates did a super job in rhyming. The second section, most of them transformed into long horn cattle. This part of the play was when the cowboy cried bear, which in return chased out the cattle from the stage. The final section of the play was when they all boot on their hats and boots to perform their dance and sing to their song 'You've got a Friend in Me'.
The play was so cute and so well put together. Ally had so much fun, she just beamed on stage. I appreciate Mrs. Oliver in the time and effort that she put for in putting this program together for these little kids. It was so fun to watch their facial expressions while they played their parts, that you couldn't help but just smile.
