Sanpete County Fair

We love going to the fair and this year was especially fun as we got to go and watch McKenna be involved in so many of the activities going on during the next ten days.  With her being second attendant to the Miss Sanpete County's Outstanding Teen, she had several responsibilities to be to at the fair.  The first thing was the Fireman's Challenge and Chalk throw on Saturday night.  She
had so much throwing shirts and mingling with people at the Chalk Throw.

She left the house looking all nice, clean, and cute ready to play, but then came home looking like she had been splattered head to toe with chalk!  She had so fun and said the chalk throw was a blast!

The next week was super busy, so between school and homework, she would spend her free time in Manti at the fairgrounds.  Monday, however, was local, so it was an easy trip for the royalty to go and help out any way they could at the Cowboy Poetry show at GVHS.

On Wednesday, August 21st , it was the Pee Wee Motor Barrell Racing.  The Miss Teen royalty helped with awarding the winners of race their trophies.  On Thursday, August 21st, the girls had to participate at Fun on the Farm exhibit.  Also that night, was night one of two of the rodeo.  The girls were so excited to be chauferred around the arena as their names were announced.

Tonight was fun for the entire family!  We ended up attending the rodeo tonight as a family.  It was a little bit slow near the end, so I made it fun for the little girls and took them to the animal exhibit.  They loved seeing the animals, even though we have stuff like this at home, it is always more fun at the fair.

Friday, August 22nd was the night of the Demolition Derby.  These girls were once again excited to be riding in the arena with the other royalties in the county.  These three girls have had so much fun hanging out together, and I think its nights like tonight that they enjoy so much!

Lindzey Harding - 1st Attendant, Lauren Christenson - Queen, and McKenna Taylor - 2nd Attendant

With Saturday, August 23rd being the last day of the fair, they had a full day ahead of them.  They initially had to be to the fairgrounds early Saturday morning, but a rainstorm came through and ruined the fun for the majority of the morning.  So mid afternoon they were there for the Pie Eating Contest and the Car Show Awards.  After those awards, they got all dolled up and ready for the parade.  The fair parade was so fun for everyone.  The girls were able to dress up as princesses and had a blast waving to the crowd.

Allyson and Lottie loved gathering up the candy being the in the midst of all the entertainment.

After the parade, the girls were back at the fairground ready to go for one more round of arena fun.  I truly think they love hearing their names read as royalty.  I think they love dresses up with their crowns, ready to smile for pictures.  I also think that they love just being together.  This week has truly been a fun week for these three girls to bond.
