Since the kids had the day off of school for a UEA Fall Break, we took advantage of hanging out together. The day started out with a planned MRI for McKenna in the Imaging Center at the Central Utah Clinic in Provo. Not exactly how she wanted to start out her day, but it was necessary to get this step done and behind her so we can move on to some answers.
McKenna and I arrived at the clinic and she was asked to change into these scrubs for her testing. It was quite the ordeal watching them inject the contrast into her hip. It brought tears to her eyes and mine too; tough stuff for a mom to watch their children endure such pain. It about killed her to have the needle so deep, let alone once the dye was injected, it burned deep into her hip and leg. McKenna said that she felt like she had a 400lb weight setting on her hip. We walked her down to the dressing room where we waited for her turn to go into the MRI and the poor thing couldn't even lift her leg up onto the chair without some assistance. She was in a lot of pain and was so strong to just bear the pain. Soon they came in and took her in for her MRI She was in the MRI for 30 minutes.
After she was finished, we were able to go back to Tyler and Ashley's where she was able to relax and rest up. In the meantime, while we were gone, Trey, Allyson and Lottie were able to hang out with these cute cousins.
After a while of hanging out with our cousins, we went on our way to get us some lunch and run a few errands. I wanted to take the kids to the Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove; McKenna wasn't super thrilled to go since she was in so much pain, so she rested in the car for quite sometime while Trey, Ally, and Lottie had so much fun sliding, riding, and playing in the many areas of the farm. Their favorite part was the Corn Pit and the giant slide that they rode down on burlap sacks. These three could have slid down for hours, they had that much fun. There were a lot of people and a lot of things to do, so it was fun to move from activity to activity.
