With Morgan's wedding quickly approaching, Mary, Ashley, Brynn, McKenna, and I all decided to put a bridal shower together in honor of Morgan. McKenna and Brynn had fun doing the planning and decorating ideas together, while Mary, Ashley, and I decided on the food. A couple of weeks before the shower, around 80 invitations were designed and mailed out. I was so excited how cute these invitations turned out.
The night before the shower, McKenna and Brynn had a sleep over so they could get an early start to food and party decoration preparation. Ashley and I showed up that afternoon to help put it all together. Jason and Mary's yard was perfect for this fun party. The decorations look so cute and the food looked so yummy.
However, this was only until the wind started to blow. It was overcast the entire afternoon, but for some reason, the wind started to blow right at 6:00 when the guests all started to show up. With lots of help, we quickly rearranged the food table back underneath the porch, but the decorations ended up being a loss. The streamers, banners, balloons, were taken down.
After a while, the wind did finally die down a bit, just enough for everyone to eat and then watch Morgan open all of her gifts. She received a lot of fun gifts that I know she was very excited to get, all of which will be a great way to start off her new life as a wife!
