Holly Homemaker!

Yes, when I spend time in my kitchen bottling, I like to refer to myself as Holly Homemaker.  Even though it is a lot of work, it is sure fun way to spend my day, plus I like the satisfaction of the end result!  I got one box of peaches this year, but I had a friend going out of town for the weekend and she knew she wouldn't get to them before they were spoiled, so I took two more boxes on.  We had about ate an entire box, but to eat two more boxes was out of line, so I decided to make peach jam.

McKenna made freezer jam as her Young Women activity this week, so after we almost ate her entire bottle just for breakfast, we all decided it would be nice to have more on hand.  So after four batches of jam, McKenna and I had made 6 pint size and 21- .5 pint sized jars of jam.  Sad thing of it is, I still have one more box of peaches.  So far, everyone's vote is to make more jam!  Wish me luck!

09.21.2013 - As a side note, I did make two more batches of peach jam.  I am hoping that I have made enough jam to last an entire year because I am kind of sick of cutting and peeling peaches!
