Remembering Aunt Ivadell

Today, the members of the Christy and Delilah Anderson posterity, joined together to honor and celebrate the life of our dear Aunt Ivadell Newberry.  She was known by all as a caring, loving and thoughtful individual whom loved us all.  She truly lived from the heart.

It was so fun to hear the tributes from her dear family and friends that traveled so far to be here on this special day.  Ivadell was my Grandpa Everett Anderson's big sister.  Ivadell was never able to have a family of her own, so she loved us all as if we were children of her own.  She lived in Arizona, and therefore she didn't come to Utah only so often.  I was fortunate enough at least meet her once and it was when McKenna was a baby.  However, even though she wasn't here in person, she would always remember to send us letters and cards in the mail at Christmas and our birthdays.  She was always so generous to send me $50 for each of the kids when they were born to make sure it went into a saving account for college later.

After a nice tribute at the Elsinore cemetery for Aunt Ivadell, everyone gathered at the park for a luncheon.  My mom and dad had put together a nice luncheon for everyone to eat, which gave them a great opportunity to visit and get reacquainted with so many that haven't seen each other for years.

Thank you Aunt Ivadell for your fine example of strength and compassion for others.
May we always cherish those memories til' we meet again.
