Little Tyra Lottie loves her animals, any shape or size, especially this big old horse, Sundance. Tonight when Jeremy and I got home from work, she wanted to be outside and before we knew it, she had her dad talked into letting her ride Sundance. So on her dad's shoulders they go to get Sundance all saddled up. Once he was saddled, Jeremy and I took turns leading her around the corrals. She was in heaven on top of that old horse, however, she was quite concerned about his poor old knees. Jeremy referenced to her that since he is so old that they need to go slow because he has bad knees, so when it was my turn to lead her around, she kept telling me, "Be careful mom, Sundance's knees are broken".
Sundance is nearly 25 years old now, so he has slowed down a lot lately. Lottie is always quite concerned and worried when Sundance is laying down in his corral, always wanting to make sure Sundance is still alive. We tell her he likes to soak up the sun on these nice days and take long naps. This old horse is a good horse and for kids like Lottie, for her to be able to sit up and ride still at his age is pretty nice.
And of course it wouldn't be a horse ride if you didn't get to pretend like you are in a parade. Here is little Lottie waving like she is in the star of the parade and she is the rodeo queen!
Tyra Lottie has definitely inherited her dad's love for these animals. She will always be my rodeo queen, wanting to do it all, ride all she can, when she can.
