Look at those cute kids, counting down and looking so forward to summer. Today was a short day for McKenna, she called me and was out of school by noon. Trey was busy at participating in the track and field day at the high school. And Allyson turned in her last day of homework, as well as did some fun end of the year work sheets. Ally brought home all her projects and stuff from the entire school year. I tried to crack jokes with her that they must have send home a back pack full of rocks because she was so loaded down with all her stuff. But sure enough it was a lot of her class projects as well as a darling binder that Mrs. Oliver had put together as a year book for Allyson. This book had art work that Ally had down through the year as well as pictures of Allyson at their different class activities. She was pretty excited about it and that was the first thing she wanted to show me when she got home.
Allyson and Trey took their teacher presents to school today. I have learned in years past that if you wait to the last day, then a lot of the teacher's helpers are not there, so you worry if they get it or not. I made eight soda's for Allyson to take, between her teacher and all of the helpers that she totally adores, it added up quick. Trey went with two this year, one for Mrs. Arleen Jensen and one for Mrs. Otten.

Track and Field day was so fun for Trey to participate in today at school. Trey invited me to go and watch him participate in this school activity. This track and field day consisted of all the third, fourthe, and fifth graders. Each student could pick out whatever event he or she would like to do. Trey picked to run in the 100 meter, 400 relay, 1600 relay, softball throw and the long jump.
There were so many kids that ran the 100 meter, that ended up being the only event that I was able to see Trey do before I had to get to work. I could see this was going to be an all day event!
Trey did a great job running the 100 meter race against the other fourth grade boys, He took second place in his heat of runners. In the long jump, Trey jumped 5 feet 10 inches and he threw 137 feet in the softball throw.
Kennadi Knudsen, Trey, Shea Anderson, and Kort Sorensen ran both the 400 and the 1600 relays. They ran an awesome race, especially on the 1600 relay beating the times of all three grades with a time of 5 minutes 53 seconds. Trey was the third leg for both races. He had such a fun day!
