Decorating Cookies!

One tradition I have tried to do right around Halloween every year is let the kids decorate sugar cookies.  As you can see, I had a lot of help rolling out the dough and getting the cooking in the oven before all the dough got eaten first.  These two had a blast rolling and doing the cutting.

Later on, the four of them had fun spreading on their own frosting and adding on all the extra bling.  Most of the cookies turned out great, however, there were a few cookies that made you wonder if there was a cookie really under all that or did the bottle of sprinkles get spilled on the counter!

I have said this before, but it is not very often that I can get a descent picture of all four of them at once.  This is definitely one of those moments! What a bunch of goofs!

Ally's spider cookie, she was quite proud of the detail on the face of the spider!

Little Lottie's loved decorating cookies this year.  I mean who wouldn't when you have complete control over all the sprinkles!  Look at the height on that thing, and no, I didn't let her eat it.

Is there a cookie under all those sprinkles?  Of course, this one turned out to be Lottie's favorite!

Meanwhile, once Jo had all her cookies decorated, she had us fully entertained with scenes from Peter Pan.  It's no wonder we all have the play memorized!
