One of the greatest blessings we get this holiday season is the joy of giving. This year, I have been busy making and wrapping gifts for neighbors and friends. I painted block after block so we had plenty of neighbor gifts and teacher gifts on hand. The nativity blocks were a huge hit, I had a ton of compliments on how well everyone liked them.
Lottie, Trey, and Ally each took two to school to give to their teachers.
For the kids to give their friends this year, we came up with some fun ideas. Ally and Lottie gave their friends really cute sticker books with a matching pencil. Ally was so excited to pass them out at school, which I can't complain it made it for one less thing to deliver!
Trey's friends presents were easy this year; boys are always happy with any type of treat. We decided to put together a Powerade and tie a candy bar to each of them. These were a little harder for Trey to take to school, so these were all delivered.
For McKenna, I had bought a whole bunch of travel size lotions from Bath & Body Works for her friends this year. Of course, it didn't look like much so we put a treat bag together with snack size candy, gum, and lotion tied to Powerades. She delivered quite a few at school and we had delivered several also. McKenna made a haul with gifts in return, she too got several lotions, scarves, treats, jewelry from her friends.
Even the kids enjoy giving this holiday season, there are so many times they give something and not always get something in return. Isn't that what this season is all about?
