Coloring Easter Eggs

Coloring Easter Eggs this year, was once again another fun tradition that we like to do as a family. Because we had a full weekend of fun planned, I let each kid color two dozen eggs, one for Saturday and one for Sunday. Call me crazy for doing tonight, but this week has been crazy with stuff every single night, so we seemed to fit it tonight.

We didn't end up getting started until about 8pm, thinking they could quickly color their eggs and then we could get to bed.  Boy was I wrong, this simple color your egg deal turned into each egg had to be a masterpiece!  And of course, I bought several different types of color mixes and who knew it would be like a science fair project trying to figure each concoction to brew up a simple red, green and blue!

Two hours later,  the eggs were all colored and the kids still had smiles on their faces.   Jeremy added to the fun when the kids pulled out the sharpie to add more detail to each egg.  He ended up specializing an egg for each kid.  McKenna wanted hers to be something American Idol, Trey a bucking horse, Ally a princess, and Lottie a cowgirl!  If it wouldn't have been so late, they would have had him add detail to all their eggs because they thought it was so cool!

With lots of laughs and smiles, we made it through it another year of coloring eggs!  Even if at the very end, we were all a little cray cray!!!  Especially Lottie, that girl is silly.
