I don't know whether it is just the stage of life for a 7 year old or just little Allyson, but everything is excting. She has talked and talked about this year's 1st Grade field trip for the entire month of May. She didn't know what day it was they were going, all she knew is that they were going and to her that's all that mattered! And if I would have let her, her lunch would have been packed and ready to go on Monday due to the excitement trapped in that little girls body! Plus, she knew she wanted her fingernails painted for her field trip, she was just worried if the paint would wash off them once they went swimming. Talk about excitement, she could hardly stop talking about it!
Their field trip consisted of the animal exhibit at Snow College, then to Mayfield park for games and lunch. Afterwards, they ended up at the Gunnison Swimming Pool where they swam for the remainder of their time. She said that her favorite part of the entire day was swimming, but she did say the two headed goat and golden egg at Snow College was pretty cool too!
