Every year as the GVHS Drill Team season comes to an end, they always hold a Spring Show. This show allows members of the community to come and watch the high school girls do all their dances that they have performed through out the school year at football and basketball games. This also gives the girls recognition on the awards that they have won in all of their different dance competitions. But what also makes the Spring Show fun is that is also gives other dance groups a chance to also perform their dances to members of the community.
McKenna was pretty excited that her dance group, the Diamonds, were able to perform both their Skyscraper dance and Back in Time. Several of these girls on the Diamonds team have tried out and made the squad for next school year's drill team class, so this was a fun opportunity for them. As always, they did an awesome job on both their dances.
McKenna and her good friend, Kaylee Hill. These two girls have so much in common and get along so well with each other, so much that it is hard to believe that their is two years between the two of them. Since Kaylee is a freshman this year, this was her first official Spring Show, so it was so fun to watch her and see how much she has grown. Even though there is the age difference in school, I can hardly wait for the chance that McKenna will have to dance on the same team as Kaylee again. Just love these two girls!
As a side note, McKenna had a great opportunity to help at the Drill Team award banquet today. She was asked to help serve at this dinner, prior to the show. She had so much fun and loved being around those girls that she adores and looks up to so much!
