Grandma Loraine's 90th Birthday

Today was such a fun day to celebrate our sweet Grandma Loraine's 90th Birthday. It is hard to believe that she is 90 years old.  Grandma Loraine's children planned this wonderful open house in honor of her.  It was amazing the number of people that came to recognize Grandma Loraine, so many of her nieces and nephews, co-workers and friends that she made from the hospital, and then so many of her dear friends from throughout the valley.

Grandma Loraine is known for her journaling and her crocheting. So as part of the center pieces for this party were journals and doilies she had done in the past.  Everyone loved the cake that was made that resembled both her journaling and crocheting.  Grandma Loraine loved it so much she didn't want anyone to cut into the cake to eat it, she wanted to save it.

And of course a party wouldn't be a party if we didn't have family and cousins to share it with.  It was fun for our kids to be able to hang out with their cousins at this fun party.

Five of Grandma's six children, Lyman got away before this picture was taken.

The one thing that Grandma Loraine requested for her birthday was to have her daughters sing 'Sugar Time' and 'A Thousand Stars in the Sky'.  Of course, she loves nothing more than to hear them sing.

Happy 90th Birthday Grandma Loraine.  Thank you for being such a great example to me and my family.  We love you dearly and we are so glad we live so close to you that we get to share so many memories and time with you!  May you have many more birthdays to come!
