Freshman Registration

 

Today was the freshmen registration for the 2015-2015 Gunnison Valley High School.  McKenna and I picked up McKenna's classes and checked out her locker for the year.   She is feeling pretty good about her schedule and is excited for the A / B schedule, which means longer class time, but more time to homework in between.  She is excited and ready to go.

 

But for me, YIKES, it is so hard for me to believe that this young lady will be going to high school in just a few short days.  I honestly remember thinking when she was little, wondering what she will be like in high school and that it will take forever for her to be old enough to go to high school, and now look at her, that forever went in just a blink of an eye and here the time has come that she only has a very short four years left before she is off and to college.  She tends to remind me quite often that she is excited that all she has left is four years at home.  Four years sounds like a little while, but I have to agree with what McKenna says, just look at Lottie, she is four and it feels only like yesterday she was born.  She is right, the next four years for this girl will fly.  I am sad yet very excited for her.  Oh the places she will go! 

 

 

Class of 2019, here she comes! She is ready and prepared to move on to bigger and better things!  Today starts a new chapter in her book or I guess a new chapter for our entire family.  Things won't be dull and boring this school year, we will get to see and go to stuff that we have never done before.  Good luck McKenna, this year as a freshmen is going to  be so fun!
