Today was day one of crazy for these girls for the next few days. Today started early afternoon, as the royalty showed up for some fair fun. Their job today was to mingle with people attending the daily fair activities. One of the very first things the Miss Teen royalty was able to participate in was the Dutch Oven contest. They took first place in the Chili contest, hence them being the only entry in that division.
Afterwards they were able to attend the Fireman's Challenge. All the royalties in attendance were able to ride in the arena on one of the many fire trucks there for the challenge. They were announced and then they sat back and enjoyed the show!
After the Fireman's Challenge, came the long awaited Chalk Throw! These girls had so much last year that they couldn't wait to participate again. McKenna came home covered head to toe in chalk. She had so much chalk in her hair that she had to wash, brush, and wash several times over in order to get all of that off her scalp and out of her hair. Even her clothes needed several washings before we got all that color out!
