SFC - Fun on the Farm & Rodeo

Well, here were are, back to the fair again.  Tonight's events consisted of a tour through the livestock barn to check out the lambs and pigs.  Then we moved over to the birds, bunnies, steers, and goats.  Allyson and Lottie loved this seeing all of this tonight.  It's funny to me that they like seeing the livestock so much because we have our own livestock show in our backyard.  I guess seeing it in the capacity of the fair barns makes it that much cooler.  After seeing the animals, Allyson and Lottie decided they were ready to do the 'Fun on the Farm' tour.  This tour provide fun way for kids to see the ins and outs of being a farm hand.

They loved learning how to comb through wool, riding tractors, and milking the cow!  This part of the tour, they were able to sit down and see if they could get any milk out of the utter!  Both of them were able to make it work and was able to get a little bit of milk in the bucket!

There were able to plant pretend seeds and then see the product of what they planted on the other side.  They picked apples and pears, fed baby chicks, learned about horse tack, parts of a pig, bugs, baby chicks, etc, all in fun.

At the very end of their tour, they were able to trade the products that they picked, made, gathered, and trade it in at the Fun on the Farm market for money.  Then they were able to turn their money in for a prize, Lottie picked a pencil and eraser while Allyson picked a chocolate milk!  Both girls had a lot of fun!  The best part though was they were able to get their picture as if they were riding in a tractor!  Such cute girls!

Tonight's big event for the fair was the rodeo, so it was one of the many debut's for the Miss Sanpete County's Outstanding Teen Royalty.  They have the privilege of riding around in the back of a truck in the arena and having their names be announced.  As always, McKenna had a ball hanging out with this great group of cute girls.

It's nights like tonight that McKenna loves about the fair.  Even though it makes for long days, for example, getting up at 5:30 am for drill and ending the day at 11:15 pm  is sure worth all the fun!  It's good McKenna is a lot like me and can run on little sleep or days even a week like  this one would be tough stuff.   McKenna is for sure one that doesn't want to miss out on any fun!
